2006

January 2006. Tillamook got 10-12 inches of snow overnight! Boy were you ever excited!

2005

Halloween 2005. You were Thomas the Tank Engine.

September 2004

It's your second birthday! Here is your Elmo cake Mom made for you.
Opening the presents. I love the look on your face. Total anticipation of what could be inside.
The truck you got. You played with this truck for a very long time. It's open on the top so it was perfect for carrying toys.
"Did you have a good birthday Nephi?" YES! I did!

June 2004

We went on vacation in June to Oregon. Here you are at Aunt Carrie's house. You were very content to sit and play with the phone wearing upside down sunglasses.
Playing at the park in Sandy, Oregon.
At the beach in Oceanside, Oregon.
I think you're still deciding if being all wet feels good. At least the weather was really nice!
Helping Dad play in the sand.

May 2004

You can wear these at home - but not at church. :)
I like to call this your Frank Sinatra smile. Love the hat off the side of your head!
Practicing for the big time.

Spring 2004

You are sitting with Grandma Zaugg. She and Aunt Carrie came with the cousins for Spring Break. As usual - we had a good time staying up late visiting and getting up early - as kids never sleep in when you want them too.

Fall 2003

"Wake up big brother!"
Ah nap time. Look how snuggled you are. You liked piling blankets all around you.
After your hospital stay - you perked right back to your active little self. Cruising the furniture was a favorite hobby of yours.
After Donovan and Christopher left for school - it was just you, Michael and Mom. We had lots of time on our hands to take really cute baby pictures!

September 2003 - You are one!

Here you are so very sick. It took me about a week to figure out something wasn't quite right with you. If I didn't take you in when I did - you would have died. That's how sick you were.
The birthday letter Dad sent you from Iraq.

Here we are for your first birthday. Our neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Johnson came over. They took this picture for us. We have Christopher, Donovan, Nephi, Candace and Michael.

Total complete sugar heaven!
Playing with your new toys. You loved playing with the Little People.
One year old. You were so pale but the lethargy hadn't started. It would withing the next 2-3 weeks.
October 2003. The 1404th Armory in Show Low, Arizona had a family Halloween party so families could get together and visit while soldier dads/husbands were in Iraq.

2003

Requests please...
4th of July 2003. I just want to squish those cheeks!
Swing time at the park in Eagar, Arizona.
You always loved bath time.
You slept in some interesting positions when you were little. Notice the wallpaper? Your big brother Michael thought he needed backup - so he enlisted you. He demolished his side of the room of wallpaper within 2 weeks of mommy putting it up. I came in your room one day and Michael was in your crib with you showing you how to pick at the paper. Mommy was not happy.
Grandma Zaugg and Aunt Carrie came with the cousins over Spring Break 2003. The ladder was out because Mom and Aunt Carrie were repainting the kitchen. You were old enough to crawl, climb and generally get into things you shouldn't. You saw the ladder and started climbing. It was a cute picture so here it is!

Another one of my favorite pictures. I have lots. :) You were 10 months old in July 2003.

6 1/2 months old

Little People were your thing you loved to play with.
Learning to sit. Pillows help prop you up here.
You were such a ham! I love the finger pointing going on. That was totally spontaneous on your part.

More baby pictures

January 2003. This is one of the last photos at home you have with Dad before he deployed to Iraq.
This picture was taken on the way to Phoenix, Arizona. We were taking Uncle Erich back to the airport. He had come to visit dad before dad left.

You really loved sitting in the swing.

October 2002. You were 1 month old here.
Just a few weeks old. You really liked bathtime. I was able to wash you in the kitchen for a long time as you were so tiny.
This was during Spring Break 2003. Grandma Zaugg and Aunt Carrie were visiting. You were napping/sleeping on my bed so your crib could be used by a cousin. You are napping here so comfortably! It's one of my favorite pictures of you. You were so darn cute!
November 2002. I love the hand up behind the head pose.

Spring break 2003. You were just old enough to be awake lots and you sure had fun watching everyone. You have always been quick with a smile.

The Infamous Holly Hobbie Hat

You weren't home from the hospital very long and mommy had this brilliant idea. Would the hat on her holly hobbie doll fit your head? You were so tiny it looked feasable. Well I tried it on your head. It fit perfectly.
This is the doll in question. Your Grandma Rogers made it for mom when she was a little girl. The doll is only 19-20 inches tall. The width of the face is only 4 inches. That's how little your face was when you came home.

My First Christmas 2002

These first two pictures were taken in Salt Lake City, Utah. You were 2 1/2 months old.
Here you are on your first Christmas day. You look so handsome!
